Choosing a Campervan

Panel van conversions that stay under six metres and still work for two people.

Choosing a Campervan

The compact panel van is the most versatile thing you can own: it fits a standard parking bay, it drives like a van and it sleeps two comfortably if the layout is honest.

The trade-off is storage and washroom space. Decide early whether you need a fixed toilet — it shapes every other decision.

Long-wheelbase, high-roof vans give you standing height and a rear garage. Standard roofs need a pop-top to be liveable.

Before you commit

  • Standing height changes daily life more than bed size
  • Rear garage vs fixed bed: you rarely get both under six metres
  • Check the base vehicle service history separately from the conversion
  • Insulation quality is invisible and decides winter comfort
